“Where am I losing money?”

The answer may already be sitting in your Tally. In your expenses, customer balances, stock and sales entries. Getting those numbers together and making sense of them is where the work begins.

Today, my participants have a new way to do that.

I have built **Tally2AI**, a tool that connects your Tally to Claude. You can ask questions in plain English and have AI work with the records in your books.

For business owners who use Tally every day, this opens a whole new world.

Try questions like these:

- “Where is my cash flow getting stuck? Look at customer dues and money tied up in stock.”
- “Who owes me money? Use invoice due dates to identify overdue amounts, and calculate simple interest at 18% per year up to today.”
- “How can I increase profit by picking the lowest-hanging fruit? Find three opportunities in my numbers and explain your assumptions.”
- “Which expenses have increased fastest compared with the previous three months?”
- “Which products are moving slowly while I keep buying more?”
- “Which customers buy regularly but take the longest to pay?”
- “Apply Goldratt's principles to my inventory.”

These are starting questions. The useful part is the follow-up: “Show me the entries behind that.” “Break it down by customer.” “What information is missing?” The answers will depend on what your books actually contain.

**This is a beta, not a finished or stable product. It is available only to TechEssentials members, including free members, and is completely free to use FOR NOW. It is provided as is, with no support commitment, guarantee or warranty. Your Tally and Claude costs are yours. Ideally, I should be rolling this out slowly, but this is SSG.**

This is just the beginning. The tool will get better as I learn from participants using it: what you ask, where it struggles, and what you need next. Your feedback will shape what I build.

It can also **view, edit and delete records, and create vouchers**, depending on the permissions you enable. Access starts as view-only. Start with a sample company, check the answers, and back up your books before allowing changes.

Currently, it works with **local Tally installations on Windows**. Some Tally cloud setups may also work if you can install software on the cloud computer running Tally.

There is a phone possibility too. Run Claude on that computer, connect Tally, and set up [Dispatch in Cowork](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/13947068-assign-tasks-from-anywhere-in-claude-cowork?ref=techessentials.in), if available on your Claude plan. You can then ask from your phone while the computer stays awake and online, with Claude, Tally and the connection running.

And yes, I stand by [what I wrote earlier about Tally](https://techessentials.in/your-most-sensitive-data-sits-on-your-least-secure-computer/). I still do not think it is a great choice for a business that wants its tools connected. Needing these additional steps to reach AI is exactly the problem I pointed out.

But many of you already run your business on it. I wanted you to experience what becomes possible when AI can reach those numbers.

Visit [tally2ai.com](https://tally2ai.com/?ref=techessentials.in) to download and follow the installation guide. Keep an eye on updates after installation.

Then bring it a question about your own business that you have been putting off answering.

We will discuss this in detail in the ongoing AI Mastery Program.
